The first independent Asian Laser Championship will be held 2—9 March 2019 in Singapore. The inaugural event, organized by Singapore Sailing Federation in conjunction with ILCA, will be held at the National Sailing Centre (NSC).
The NSC is located on the southeastern tip of Singapore and is a choice venue for many World Sailing technical training programs, including the Emerging Nations Program. The NSC has also hosted several sailing events such as the 2010 Youth Olympic Games, the 2011 IODA Asian Optimist Championships, the 2015 Southeast Asian Games. Its annual Youth Championships attract hundreds of regional and international sailors to compete.
The Laser Championships will incorporate Asian titles for Women’s Laser Radial, Men’s Laser Standard (including Masters), U19 Laser Radial (Boys and Girls), and Laser 4.7 (Boys and Girls).
