CHARTER INFORMATION

25 NEW CHARTER BOATS ARE AVAILABLE

BOAT CHARTER: £295 English Pounds plus £150 English Pounds damage deposit
Boats will be supplied with:
Hull, spars, bailer, mainsheet cleats,
deck block fitting with blocks, deck cleat fitting with cleats

Competitors must bring their own centreboard, rudder, tiller, sail, ropes, boom vang, cunningham, outhaul, traveller and traveller blocks, mainsheet and mainsheet ratchet block.

Charter boats will be allocated on a first-come first-served basis except that before 16 June charter bookings from IRL and GBR will be placed on a waiting list operated on a first-come first-served basis (preference is being given to entrants from more distant countries).
NOTE
You will need a CHARTER RESERVATION NUMBER to make a charter boat booking. To get a CHARTER RESERVATION NUMBER please contact the International Laser Office by email, fax (+44 1326 318968) or telephone (+44 1326 315064).
Charter reservation numbers will be valid for one week.

If a previously booked charter boat is cancelled before 16 June the charter fee will be refunded less bank and exchange costs. After 16 June 50% of the charter fee will be refunded if the boat is chartered to another sailor.
CHARTER BOAT INSURANCE
Charter boats are insured for third party liability. The cost of any damage or insurance excess, including scratches and bent spars, up to a limit of £150 for each incident, will be deducted from the damage deposit.
CHARTER BOAT DAMAGE DEPOSIT REFUNDS
Damage deposits (less any deduction for damage) will be refunded after the end of the Championship from the International Office.
Damage deposits that were paid by credit card will be refunded (less any deduction for damage) to the credit card charged for the deposit. If you paid by credit card and the card expires before the end of August 2004 please advise the International Office of the new expiry date to avoid any delay when making the refunds.
Damage deposits that were paid by UK cheque will be refunded (less any deduction for damage) by UK cheque.
Damage deposits that were paid by International Money Order, Bank Draft, or by Bank Transfer will be refunded (less any deduction for damage) either by International Money Order or by Bank Draft.
Cash refunds on site for payments made by IMO, Bank Draft or by Bank Transfer will only be made if requested in writing to the International Office at least three weeks prior to the start of the Championship and will incur a 15% charge to cover currency conversion charges.
