After six races sailed in each of the different fleets at the Laser World Masters in Brisbane, the sailors are enjoying their lay day today. As from tomorrow, six more races are on the program, but in some of the classes/categories, especially in the Lasers Standard, preliminary decisions about the winners are quite visible. In the Apprentices (age 35-44), Matias del Solar CHI took all six races in his favour, in the Masters (age 45-54), Brett Beyer AUS has five bullets on his score sheet, and in the Grand Masters (age 55+), Wolfgang Gerz GER improved from race to race and has now a five points lead on Tracey Usher USA.
In the Radials, Scott Leith NZL is on track for the overall victory with 5 wins in the Apprentices (35-44). In the Masters (45-54), Greg Adams AUS is six points ahead, while in the Grand Masters Division (55-64), the duo Adam French AUS and two points behind Keaton AUS has already a certain distance from the fleet. In the Great Grand Masters (65+), Kerry Waraker AUS is six points in front of the multiple Euopean Champions of the Seventies Keith Wilkins GBR.
Peter Charlton AUS is on top of the Lasers 4.7-Masters.
