International Sailing Academy’s Sail Settings Guide for MKII and Radial, both in imperial and metric units, include settings for both chop and flat water. These can be great starting points for setting up and understanding your Laser.

Instructions: To set B2B vang, maximally tighten traveler and sheet, then remove slack from vang. Vang settings with numbers indicate quantity of line aft of the cleat past B2B setting on vangs with one purchase removed. Measure outhaul depth from boom cleat to sail.
