Nearly 300 sailors from 29 countries are descending on Barcelona International Sailing Center (BISC) to compete November 13–20 at the 2021 ILCA Masters World Championships.
Three of the last ILCA Masters world champions will participate in this championship: Britain’s Jon Emmett, ILCA 6 Apprentice champion; French Gilles Coadou, ILCA 6 Grand Master champion; and Wolfgang Gerz of Germany, ILCA 7 Great Grand Master champion.
On Saturday, registration and measurement will wrap up, and there will be a practice race for the sailors along with the opening ceremony. Races begin Sunday and will be held through Saturday, November 20 with a rest day included.

The championship will be held at BISC, and the regatta is organized by the Catalan Sailing Federation, the Real Club Náutico de Barcelona, and the Real Club Marítimo de Barcelona, with the collaboration of World Sailing, ILCA, the Spanish Sailing Federation, the Government of Catalonia, the Barcelona City Council, and the Barcelona Provincial Council.
