2021 ILCA Masters World Championships Kicking Off in Barcelona

Barcelona, Spain – Today marked the start of the 2021 ILCA Masters World Championships with a light-wind practice race for the sailors on the final day of registration. Tonight they held the opening ceremonies at the Barcelona International Sailing Center, where the regatta was officially kicked off by Miquel Delcós, president of the Real Club Marítimo de Barcelona, Meritxell Cornudella, member of the Board of Directors of the Catalan Sailing Federation, and Andrus Poski, ILCA representative.

Over the course of the next week, 12 races are scheduled. The first warning signal is scheduled for Sunday at 12:00 after skippers meeting at 10:00, planning to complete two races. Racing will continue through Saturday, November 20 with a rest day in the middle.
