Pattaya, Thailand – No races were completed at the 2023 ILCA 6 Masters World Championships, hosted by the Royal Varuna Yacht Club, due to lack of wind. Dark clouds took over the morning sky before a two-hour rainstorm left the area without any wind for the rest of the day. The optimistic race committee waited on water for any sign of wind before they called it a day at 14:35.
Results remain the same as Day 4. The first warning signal for the final day tomorrow will be at 12:00, an earlier start time to allow the possibility of three races instead of just the two scheduled races. The prize-giving ceremony will be held after racing in the evening.
Principal sponsor Idemitsu is a long-term partner to the Royal Varuna Yacht Club, its contribution part of its impressive CSR program.
