Thousands of athletes from around Asia will gather to compete in 481 events at the 19th Asian Games, which were originally due to be held in 2022 before being postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Opening Ceremony is set for Saturday 23 September, although competition in eight sports will take place beforehand beginning on 19 September. The Games then last for 15 days before the Closing Ceremony on Sunday 8 October.”

The 19th Asian Games will serve as the first continental Olympic qualifiers for Paris 2024 in ILCA sailing since the 2023 Sailing World Championships in The Hague, Netherlands in August. Only one quota place will be awarded in each the ILCA 7 fleet and ILCA 6 fleet. The remaining two Olympic quota places will be available for Asian ILCA sailors at the 2023 Asian Sailing Championships in Chon Buri, Thailand in December.
ILCA racing begins September 21 at the Ningbo Xiangshan Asian Games Sailing Center and concludes with ILCA medal races on September 26. Follow racing via the links below!
